The Canmore Winter Carnival is back again this year! Come visit and experience our unique brand of western mountain hospitality while you enjoy all the festivities and lots of free celebrations and events! The carnival will include the International Biathlon Union Cup Races, Xterra Triathlon and Chandra Crawford’s Fast and Female Biathlon. Ski and dog sled race events will take place on our snow-covered Main Street that the public is also invited to use (free loan x-country ski equipment is available). Street hockey, pond skating, ice carving, log sawing, and snow sculpting events will all take place in downtown Canmore throughout the carnival. Don’t miss it!

Town of Banff “Snow Days” Festival January 14 – February 12, 2012
Snow Days is a new festival the Town of Banff is putting on that celebrates all that is exhilarating about a Rocky Mountain Canadian winter. From skiing and snowboarding to ice-skating, snowshoeing to curling, ice-walking to tubing and back-country adventures you should come and experience the amazing winter wonderland and pioneering heritage that makes Banff National Park such a cool place!
